IPC (International Primary Curriculum) is an extraordinary educational program, which is based on the most advanced knowledge about the way children learn. The programme offers an exciting and stimulating way of teaching the (social) science subjects (geography, history and biology) as well as the arts subjects.
Lessons are implemented using themes such as ‘transport’, ‘food’ and ‘living our lives together’. The main question being posed in these themes is: “What did you learn?”, rather than “What did you accomplish?” Lessons start with a knowledge harvest. This awareness is then expanded upon in future lessons. All themes have an international dimension, and therefore pupils become aware of not only the differences, but more importantly the similarities between people.
IPC is offered in English and links the international with the Dutch streams. This enhances the international character of the programme even more.
